Wansford Yard Lift Station Phase 1-BC  Water Main Replacement

This project includes the installation of approximately 2,400 feet of new 8” water main pipe, 19 new gate valves, 6 fire hydrant assemblies, 24 water service replacements and related improvements on Sherman Avenue from Negley Avenue to  Stanley Avenue and on Kentucky Avenue/Cardinal Drive from Olmstead Avenue to Bedford Avenue.

Project Update

  • Recent Progress (April 7 to April 13)

    • MAC completed the installation of HMA base on Sherman Avenue between Negley Avenue and Stanley Avenue.

    • MAC completed the installation of new 8” C900 PVC water main on Kentucky Avenue and Cardinal Drive.

    • MAC performed hydrostatic testing and chlorinated the new 8” C900 PVC water main on Kentucky Avenue and Cardinal Drive.

  • Anticipated Activities for Upcoming Week (April 14 to April 20)

    • MAC intends to activate the new ¾”-1” water services on Kentucky Avenue and Cardinal Drive, between Olmstead Avenue and Bedford Avenue, pending the results of water quality sampling.
